I’m Molly
I make ceramics out of my garage in Redondo Beach, CA. My first interest is not creating things out of clay, it’s beach volleyball. I’m very lucky to say i compete for Team USA with my ultimate goal being the Olympics. While my main focus is volleyball, I have a passion for creating. It’s important to me to feed that part of myself when I’m not competing.
How I Got Into Ceramics
James and I met in 2020 and got married in 2023. He also competes for Team USA, so our summers are filled with traveling the globe together chasing the same goal.
It can be consuming, this sport, but James has always been the one to encourage me to continue on with creating. He gifted me my first membership to the local pottery studio in 2024, to try something new. Each month went by and I questioned why I was still a member, doubting myself and what I was making. He was always there to challenge me to keep going.
Years later, he ultimately helped create the space I now work from in our garage as my OWN studio! He sees the importance of being someone off the court just as much as I do.
